i need to be near the ocean. i need to feel the sand beneath my feet, the coastal breeze in my hair, and the cold atlantic ocean around me.

i also want to be with my family, and my sister. i miss her terribly because she really is someone who knows me front to back, inside and out. and i know she could really bring me back to center quite easily.  she is one of the funniest people i know and i legit feel incomplete from not being around her…yes she is sometimes rude and sassy and god i love her to little pieces.

so yes, i hope more than anything in the world i can go with you to chicago, but just know that fully and completely because if by a chance i can’t…i will be just, if not more heartbroken then you (because it’s a long way away and i won’t be able to watch you live your dreams/imagine the city your in).

oh, and today i painted for the first time in a long time, and i really loved it.  i kind of forgot where i was while i was painting, it was so nice to just escape. and more than ever, i think i realized at that moment that i will never be in this moment again—-never will i be the same person as i am now, and i’ll never feel the way i do, this moment (today, tomorrow, next week) are only snapshots of my life as a whole.

i’ll be home next weekend for july 4th…hello lake, best friend, seester, my perfect little cousins, family, sleep, crafting, and all things roanoke.
